Dinner Time

OK...the first thing you need to know is that I HATE SPIDERS!
Which makes this really eerie, to me.
Secondly, this is my first attempt at macro.
Thirdly, this was not the shot I was originally trying to take ( that of a web crusted outdoor carriage light ), but I spotted this little guy walking along my screen door. Thought I'd try to take a shot.
I didn't notice, until I uploaded and cropped the shot, that he was actually eating.
( now I feel sorta bad for flicking him off my screen. But only a little. ;-)

Anyway, the little guy was about 1 cm big, but you can see the scale by comparing him to the screen.
I also tried processing this in B&W, but the fur on his abdomen wasn't as obvious, so I left in in colour.
Okay, this is a very creepy photo. Well done, but creepy!!

I like the colour. Sometimes it's easy to get distracted, but getting distracted also makes for some really neat shots too. This turned out really good. ( I have a hard time with close-ups/macro, which I keep trying to do. My husband says I don't have the light I need). Cool photo

Great macro, wish I could take a macro like that! Your dinner tag is funny. Is your screen blue or is that the lighting?

That was just the lighting, Joe.
Plus a colour boost. :-)

I think it is amzing how your camera could focus on both the screen and the spider behind the screen. Getting dinner shot was just "the icing on the cake."

Wow great shot but definitely creepy! By the way I now have found yellow lupines all along the hills by the water, very sweet smelling and they are all over the place I just didn't realize it.

I hate spiders, too... I'm glad to see him on the OTHER side of the screen, lol. Nice shot :)

OMG...so he is on your screen? Wow...a macro shot really does make a big difference! AMAZE-ING!

Thanks, Barb, for your nice comments on my "eerie" shots!
