I wanted to start this project, after being inspired by a couple of dear friends, to document this very important year in my life.
This is the year of my Daddy's passing, the year my sweetie and I turned 50 and we celebrated our 30th Anniversary, and the year of our daughter's wedding.

I find that the further I get into this project, the more I am enjoying it, and I love adding extra elements through editing in order to create art with my photos, whenever possible.
While I would love a more professional quality camera, I want to prove that anyone with an imagination can take interesting photos using only a point and shoot, as I do.
I started my project with a 3 yr old Sony Cybershot ( 7 megapixels / 3x zoom ), and now use a Panasonic Lumix (14 megapixels / 5x zoom ), that my son gave to me for Mother's Day.

Day 1 of my photo journal just happened to coincide with Day 9 of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
