Never again will I complain about our Southsea beaches. This is opposite a working wharf, near the freeway and is fenced off from the water's edge. Oh it doesn't help that it's raining.
Met Vikki @summerfield today, who advised us to use the underground passages, to avoid frizzy hair. And she took us to lunch - our treat Friday!! She's taking us to the islands you can see on the horizon.
what the??? they put a fence around the beach? some unfortunate souls must have had an accident or something. i must go there when the weather is more decent to check if it's a permanent fencing or just for the winter. i used to go there in the winter, without the fence.
it was nice to finally met you and dave. but how in the heaven's name did you guys end up in there? did you see the flatiron building? it was near the dog fountain.
You're making me feel positively wistful - we went to the islands and visited a place called Far Enough Farm, full of goats and other animals. Chap I went with said I was happier with the animals than with the city!

How fun for you all to meet! Wish I could have popped up to Toronto to join you! Instead I popped my knee out! Enjoy your trip to the Islands tomorrow and hopefully the weather will improve. I don't think I've ever seen a fenced-in beach before.
