Jay challenged me to take a high contrast black and white photo, and I just don't see in black and white through the view finder (as he asturely noticed!)
Pottered along to Portchester this afternoon it was cold, gloriously sunny with a crisp blue sky and clear light.
So Jay, I really wanted to sow off that blue sky and the castle keep, but to also get the high contrast. As I had my glass ball with me, and I've learnt how to edit and turn it, will this do as a first attempt at your challenge??
Three good things
My house is spotless (ashamed to say I found a 60 sparkle in a nook or cranny!)
Hula-Hooping starts again tonight and was great fun but hard work
Jokes told by the butchers are still of great, corny quality
@jaybutterfield will this count? Not seen blue sky in ages and it went yucky grey!
@grammyn goal today was to clean the accumulated grime but the lure of the sun this afternoon was too much and I had a 365 challenge to do on my day off so I downed tools and went out in the sun. I'llcertainly use that mid-day tip, thank you Katy
@johnsutton didn't work John!! The sky was mucky. But thanks for suggesting it keeps tips coming!! @overalvandaan easy, now I know how @Dawn thanks @brennieb it was a great afternoon ambling on my own @jacqbb thank you v much
Interesting processing and take on the challenge. I'm glad you said you'd flipped the crystal ball, because I was looking at it thinking "that's not how crystal balls work" having played with mine yesterday for my Get Pushed challenge and confused my setter by the flipping.
I have found my best B&W photos are taken in the mid day sun. I get the sharpest contrasts that way. Give it a try
