Melting Snow on a Snowdrop

Nipped out quickly this morning to snap this. Hoped the light on the melting snow would look in monochrome for FoR. It's not brilliant but not going out there to do again tonight as it's dark, cold and wet.

I'd prefer the white to be white and the splodges to be gone, but another 27 day to master this BnW thing!

Three Good Things

Only 2" of soft snow to brush off the windows on car this morning
Read positive critique feedback on yesterday's photos today, so helpful-thank you all
Left work today with an empty e-mail in box!

You have done so well with capturing those drops in focus! Nice to know there are snow drops around where you are!

Empty email inbox, sounds like heaven :-) ! My work email inbox is definitely not empty unfortunately, but finally our manager has agreed to an extra full time person, so hopefully soon a more manageable email inbox.

I think you've done an excellent job here- the flower is lovely, the drops in excellent focus. If the lighting bothers you, you might be able to lighten up the exposure a little in post processing but it's really an artistic choice. This is very pretty!

I'm with Ann, I would want to up the exposure or brightness. It's such a lovely flower, I'd like to see more of it. You have begun! Onwards into February.....

@olivetreeann Thank you ann! It was luck to get thos drops so well, I was balanced on my toes, in my dressing gown (!) using live view on screen, only shot not to have camera shake!!

@wendyfrost thank you, fluke they were in focus I was shivering so much
@pistache a month of BnW is gong to be a really good learning curve for me, I just do not see in monochrome and light!!
@overalvandaan It will have a few in it on my return on Thursday.............. and I'm only a lowly person, below the first rung of the ladder of importance!!
