So many nice elements in this composition. The low key lighting; the orange in the background, just slightly out of focus but still recognizable, the lovely curl of the peel and the reflection.

LOL Jackie - that hadn't even occurred to me until I read this. I had another look and I can see what you're saying - the little bits of pith on the inside are sort of jagged and do distract from the clean lines. It seems that it would be hard to get the inside as streamlined as the outside - maybe a finer peeler? I hadn't noticed the little holes in the peel - right down at the bottom of the first curl - i sort of like them, but again - do they distract from the overall concept? And you would probably get lots of them with a finer peeler! You are such a wonderfully patient photographer to be able to have a go and succeed so well at mostly anything! Cheers Rob
