Low Vis Daffs

I had no idea that my camera could do black and white (and other arty farty settings) until Kali set it for me as a challenge. Had fun playing with settings and will have a proper bash at the challenge tomorrow.

This is quite a lazy shot, in camera monochrome, and no processing- I really must iron my backdrops!!

I posted another high key in TheDarkroom . Our theme this week is high key, do play along with us and tag any high key photos darkroom-highkey . No shortlisting, no voting, just joining in.
Well isn't that fun to find another setting! Mine won't do black and white unless it is set for night photography and that isn't always appropriate, but it will do selective colour. Go figure!!
Nice lazy shot. Get on with your ironing! Ha ha xx

Recognise that vase. Did you not read the manual?

I think ironing would make it look flat. I like the soft effect and light shadows it makes. AND I am always looking for an excuse not to iron.

Lovely shot but something tells me you don't like ironing 😉

I thought that the texture in the backdrop was intended😂

There are times when I go through the menu on my camera just to see what's there- but I don't know what most of it is, so I forget! I remember better when I want to do something specific and then read the manual to get the job done. Oh well, that's my crazy head!

I don't think you should iron the back drop unless you don't want any texture showing. In this shot I like the little nuances of gray- but maybe you want it to be flat white. All in all I think you had a good outcome here!

Yes, still finding settings...5 years later! I like your artfully arranged background:)

I often use the clever settings on Nikon, but I haven't worked out how to do much more than take a regular photo with new Olympus!

it is one of my go-to challenges when i cant think of anything else lol, i just find out what camera people have, look through the manual online and post it with the link, doesnt take long

ps the only bit of the background that is distracting is the horizontal shadow above the flowers on the left, if you cared you could have cloned that out in ps , saves ironing!

Lovely high key shot.
