A Preserved Beam of Citrus Sunshine

I challenged Caroline to do a still life using complimentary colours. Contining with my theme to also do my challenges here is my take on it.

I'm making marmalade, of course I'm following the recipe to the letter, except I'm also using limes, lemon, grapefruit and cooking it in the slow-cooker....... so almost to the letter.
Wow, that beam is so warm and beautiful.
And that orange just gave me an idea. I'll see what comes of it.

I'm hopeless at following recipes, I always seem to improvise and then if it comes out particularly well I forget what I changed 🤣

My middle name is Paddington, I like marmalade so much. I've never made my own though. The light on those oranges is just perfect.

A like the bright orange of the oranges. Marmelade. That sounds delicious. Working on a jar of store bought right now. I'd like you get your recipe if you feel so inclined.
