The local arts centre has an exhibition about sewing and patterns. Didn't understand much of it, but then I cannot thread a needle, never mind a machine!!
What a wonderful old machine. My Mother made all her own clothes as a young woman and when it came to specialty clothing and fancy dress she made all my clothing. She insisted I learn how to sew, and I'm grateful she did, although I don't appreciate my husband taking advantage for canvases for our boat! It's a little sad young girls aren't learning to sew these days.
