This is to support Stephomy's new challenge to 'do-over' a photograph Itook at the begining of my project and re-do it using my improved skills/knowledge/camera!
I revisited, and re-did, my first month of photos at the start of my second year, so I've gone back to September of my first year to recreate this from 5.09.16 .
I am much better at composition, I'm getting better at getting whites to be white (still my nemesis!) I use the M and AV buttons and am confident with the EV adjustments. I can also clean my sensor or use editting to spot out awful dust specks.
All in all, because of my daily photo habit (addiction?) and feedback, advice, tuition and support from the 365 community, I am much more confident, willing to take risks and fail and (thank goodness it's not film as I couldn't afford this) willing to take loads of failed shots to get one worthy of showing you.
Go on, double dare you to look back at your early shots and see if you can do-over one!! Heres the link
I definitely like the "new & improved" version better. I find this more interesting because it includes the whole sprig which pulls us into the picture because of the way you've placed it. I also like the leaf in the background to break up the starkness of the white. I actually like this better than the close-up version too because there is more contrast between the unripened berries and the ripe one. It is fun to see how we've improved over the years, isn't it?
Skills have definitely been honed and yes thank goodness we have digital cameras. This way it doesn't matter how many shots it takes to it just right :)
@merrelyn that original is horrendous!! @olivetreeann thank you so much for that critique, that's why I'm much better!! I prefer this, but as I cropped it couldn't use for nf-soic thing do played at macroing again @amyk it's also much whiter @joansmor many thanks @fbailey I'm looking forward to others' contributions, be interesting to see how others styles have changed.
