We are a little worried for this small squirrel. It's been up the sycamore tree all day clinging on to the branch. He's now shivering and seems to be clinging on for dear life; it's a long drop if he falls. He's very well camoflauged and his colouring blends in so well with the grey bark and golden leaves.
Post Script. An hour after taking this, as the sun set and temperature fell, he wasn't in the tree. We didn't see him go, so hope he climbed down and went to his dray.
@Dawn thank you @gillian1912 can only hope so, even though he's a tree rat! @roachling I was surprised by the russet tones in his fur
@spanishliz for a rodent he does @ludwigsdiana no where near what you see and photograph @365anne hope he does ok, but nature will decide @joansmor but not for Him.
Thank you all for your lovely words for this wee squirrel . I'll keep you updated I'd I see him again
