Philip Jackson

A tiny art gallery is hosting a small exhibition of works by Philip Jackson . I love his abstract sculptures of faceless people and to be able to wander amongst his works yesterday was a delight.

A maquette of his sculpture of the emergency services, NHS worker, policeman, fireman, paramedic, mountain rescue and lifeboat men, is also on display.

I hadn't realised Jackson also designed the Marines Yomper who stands proudly on Eastney Beach in Portsmouth.

Price of the lifesize lady with the brolly? A cool £85,000 she's so beautiful and elegant. Jackson is exhibiting at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester to help raise funds to keep it open - big man, big gesture and I'm going back to gaze in awe at his work as soon as I can!!

I went with Susan, see if you can spot me in her photo!
Thank you for letting us see some of his creations!
