Kali challenged me to be inspired by the work of Julieanne Kost's What I Dream series.
Took myself on a walk I did regularly during lockdown to find trees, tree tunnels and views that would fit with my idea. This is six photos!
There are three layers - bottom is a sunken boat, middle a view of the shore, top layer is waving grass. I then overlayed these with a tree tunnel, a copse of gnarled trees and then a single tree.
I am chuffed to bits with this and I didn't get cross with Affinity at all, which I thought would be my biggest challenge.
Thank you Kali, I always learn a new processing skill with your challenges, and today it was layering and changing opacity.
I'm certainly going to give this another go at the weekend.
@kali66 THANK YOU!! As ever with your challenges it was a challenge but was fun too. I did have a plan of what to get in my camera but it became a bit more organic as I played in Affinity. Critique and tips to improve would be most welcome.
woohoo! 6 layers is a lot to work with, epic editing. its always a revelation how different layers work together and textures overlap as you play with an image like this, glad you had fun. as for critique there is a glowy bit in the middle which i cant figure out how it was made, but i think if the foreground tree was the same darkness the whole way down would make it stand out a bit more. was that your top layer?
@shutterbug49 I was out photogging for nearly an hour
