So I went back to the water drop technique today, and I think I improved my game since last time ;). This was actually quite a lucky shot! This happens when a drop of water is dropped (duh), but as the drop starts to come back up, another one comes down and hits it, creating a flattened effect. This was really quite amazing to see on the screen as I captured it, and I was really excited. Have a nice day!
This was taken with my 18-55mm. (kit lens) on aperture mode with the zoom at 55mm and manual focus. I took an eye dropper and taped it to the wall above my counter with a glass on it filled with water. I then procceded with dropping drops and taking photos at the same time.
wow, this is really awesome!! I've heard that water drop picture can be really hard! amazing clearness here! and I like the little bit if bokeh you got at the bottom edge of the splash thing :)
@farscapephotography Thank you so much! @annbo HA! Thanks so much. I do have a few tricks up my sleeve now ;) @nataliestrawberry Thanks...again! ;) @gracej Thank you! It's actually all about timing. If you know when it's going to hit, then should get the shot. @agavegirl13 Thank you so much! It really means so much :)
@dishaparekh176 Thanks so much, Disha! I'm glad you enjoy :)
@drewhuy Thanks so much! That's why it's partially luck; you never know exactly when to hit the shutter.
@amandalomonaco Definitely! It's actually not to hard to set up; just need tape, a glass, a camera, and a tripod. We need to catch up soon!
