We were amazed at how much more water there was in the park in July, waterfalls were everywhere and flowing with lots of water. That was the reason I was so surprised at the fires this last month or two, I thought the park's landscaping and trees were not dry and would not burn as fiercely as they did. This is a lovely falls. Fav!
@louannwarren Thank you for your comment, Lou Ann. Actually many of us in Montana were surprised by the fire season too. It seemed like we had lots of snow and Spring rain but that helped to provide lots of new underbrush growth and then combined with our many days of 90's weather it was the perfect combination for fires. Hopefully they are close to being done now.
