Waratah Flowers

I couldn't resist another bouquet of flowers outside a cafe in Kurrajong this morning. $15 for four stems. These beautiful waratah blooms, botanical name -Telopea speciosissima - are the flower emblem for New South Wales. They are native to the south eastern parts of Australia. They are gorgeous, and last ages as a cut flower in arrangements.
What a lovely flower..and colour too.flowers always cheer you up don't they

Thank you all so much. Sorry I haven't been able to comment so much lately. Life, plus getting a random audit by my Professional standards association has kept me very busy. @sailingmusic @megpicatilly @peterday @quietpurplehaze @ludwigsdiana @hermann @photobird @dide @beryl @tracie8266 @carole_sandford @narayani @brennieb
