Dolly Pegs

We are really trying to improve our efforts to reduce use of plastic, and recycle as much as possible. Instead of buying more plastic pegs as they have broken, I've gone back to the old fashioned 'Dolly Pegs'. It would make my mum happy.
Didn't think you could still get these!

Great idea, actually I have never seen these before although I grew up with wooden pegs.

Great idea, the plastic ones are always breaking - I think I shall be looking for these!

You can get the pegs in craft shops and office works. I don't think they sell them for hanging clothes up anymore, but for craft. @narayani @fr1da @ludwigsdiana @judithdeacon

I always use wooden pegs, but I only see dolly pegs in the $2 shop these days.

Well done. I haven't seen these in use for a long time. We have wooden pegs but they have a metal mechanism which rusts. Maybe our washing spends too much time out in the rain!

Good idea. I always use wooden pegs; I inherited a basket full of them from my late mother many years ago.

Think you've converted us all! But do they work as well? If they do, I'll give them a try.

I have some of these pegs which I’ve had for years. I find them good for hanging bulky items like towels.

Brings back memories!

They remind me of pickup sticks the way they are lying. I totally agree that we must do what we can to get rid of plastic
