Albion Groyne by 4rky

Albion Groyne

Located a short distance west of the pier, the Albion groyne was built in 1876. Its width was doubled in 1896 when it was extended over the storm water outfall running alongside. It originally had gas-lighting for the benefit of fishermen at sea but this became redundant when the Palace Pier opened in 1899.
This image is brilliant, so much movement with the water coming and going and the variety of shapes at the end of the groyne.

Love the contrast between the dynamic, moving waters and the solid, steady stone, it's a beautiful image!

Ooh really like your perspective and the solidity yet fluidness ( think I've just invented some words?) Of the view. Lovely
