Thomas House by 4rky

Thomas House

Built in the 14th Century and reputed to be the oldest house in Rye. Thomas House is named after a former resident, Charles Thomas, a popular postman who often read and wrote letters for the illiterate. He was born in 1811 and was known locally as “Uncle Charlie”.
