my oldest has been the subject of a lot of my photos lately...I think it is because I sense the inevitable change that occurs with growing up. she is morphing more and more into the woman she will one day become, and I am filled with both pride and sorrow. It is that mixed emotion of pain and joy that make me want to capture every moment in my kid's lives; as if the camera will somehow postpone what life cannot.
You're doing amazing capturing those moments of your kids' lives. I'm sure they'll appreciate it a lot once they are all grown up. We don't usually worry about them growing up when they are little, but once you realize they are not kids anymore...everything changes - I'm starting to sense that too.
Beautiful B&W! She definitely has the look of a changeling... still a little girl, but with big hints of what she will become! I loved having a little girl... managed to still love her through the teen years – though there were days I didn't like her so much! :) – and now I am totally enjoying my friend, my adult daughter!
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! I love the casual beauty - her hair falling on her face, and not worried about every single thing being perfect. Great shot!!
