Today I met up with Laurie Higgins, @lauriehiggins, in Yarmouth and Sandwich. We visited Edward Gorey's house and it was pretty cool. In this photo, you can see one of his actual fur coats, and a drawing he had done of himself wearing one of his fur coats. He was a great cat lover and a collector of rocks and colored glass. What an awesome eccentric genius he was! Here is a link, if you would like to read up on him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Gorey
Well I spent a lot of time on the road today, and I am beat. I will have to look at your photos tomorrow. Also, thanks so much to everyone for your awesome attention to my photos this week. It made me very happy. :-D
You got an awesome shot of this! It was so much fun to meet you Trina, and I hope it is the first of many meet-ups! Thanks to you, I got to visit two places on the Cape that I have never been to before.
Great photo! I'm so jealous you and @lauriehiggins were able to go to this museum and the Sandwich Glass museum for photos and fun. I have never been to either and would love to see both. Glad you have photos to share so we can peek into the museum over your shoulder.
How cool is THAT? You got to meet up with Laurie, and go see the Gorey house! I love the Gashlycrumb Tinies. Indeed an eccentric genius. I bet you two had a blast!
