Whale watching. Sunshine Coast Queensland

Yesterday I went out on a whale watching excursion boat. lovely day. Saw lots of whales with their calves frollicing around very close to the boat. After half an hour I succumbed to sea sickness & spent the next 2 hours at the bottom stern vomiting. I missed so much of the action sadly Feeling much better this morning. so instead of all the good shots that might have been, I will put some fun ones up for a good laugh tomorrow
Oh dear .. what a shame.. lets hope some of the other people have some good shots that they can share with you..

Oh so exciting until the dreaded sea sickness, I can't imagine anything much worse. I hope I can do it one day it would be so amazing, glad you are feeling much better today.

What a great experience but such a shame you were sea sick. I look forward to seeing your shots tomorrow.

I had the same problem when I went whale watching. I popped out on deck very briefly when a whale was nearby and then rushed back inside to sit with sick bag in hand. It really spoilt the trip unfortunately.

Too bad about the sea sickness, I know that feeling well. At least you got in a few good shots to remember the day.

whales are so difficult to photo! most of the time they are under water!
great timing, as I know they are extremely fast and unexpected

Great capture! Such beautiful blue water!

I'm so sorry you had to deal with the sea-sickness. I have been on a whale watch where that happened too- although I didn't loose any food, I did battle an unsettled stomach for a good portion of the trip and couldn't use my camera. Still, even though this is not a perfect shot, it is a perfect memory shot.
