She bought this in Hong Kong.. Its something we knew well. Some times they would play all night!!

@cruiser I learnt to play Mah Jong, had a set with only Chinese characters, no English numbers, so when I went to Hong Kong to live I could read the prices in the markets. All my children & greanchildren know how to play Its a great game. you dont have to gamble as the Chinese do!!

You have a very pretty daughter! There was an out of the way- local Chinese restaurant in NYC we used to go to way back in the 80's. There was no menu and the people did not really speak English- but the "regulars" used to be playing this game every time we went there to eat. It was an interesting place and the games always seemed to be quite lively. Nice shot!

@olivetreeann Thats an interesting story Ann. I timed how long it took them to play the game(2 minutes) & they love to slam the tiles down loud. Also a lot of them just feel the characters with their fingers. Dont even need to look at them!! thanks for commenting
