Ooh wow! There had been a lot on the news lately about these snakes. It is mating season and then are very active.
They'll keep the rats away.

This is a good reason to live in New Zealand ... Don't think I would get a photo.. Saw a you tube clip the other day where and elderly lady dealt with two snakes in the BBq while the son stood by and watched her...

Might be looking for a mate. It's that time of year. I've started to be aware that they'll be about soon. We had more snakes than usual last summer, hope I don't have so many this time.

@tonygig They do keep the rats away & any other small animals. I prefer they don't come on my balcony.. Hw slithered away across the road later I heard!!
