Yesterday I found the cutest little flowers called Wax Flowers. I'd never heard of them before, but now have a big bunch of them in the dining room...they look really pretty :-)

lol Allison, I was just photographing these same flowers in my kitchen and thought to myself - "wonder what these little flowers are called?" I didn't get a good enough picture of them to post so I'm really glad I can admire yours! : ) Wax flowers . . .

@vega it's crazy isn't it...just how quickly the time goes. I know it's early, but I hope she has a wonderful birthday. I was tucking Aaron up in bed the other night, and started thinking about how in 8 years time, he will be going off to college etc,......I felt so sad, but he'll always be my little baby, even when he's 40 :-)
@allisonraposa Just wait till the day he GRADUATES college and you are standing there just clapping and tears just stream from your eyes. I had the insane pleasure of this experience last June :) Absolutely AMAZING !!

Beautiful, I've not heard of them before. What editing software do you use and how do you get such a lovely vintage effect? I've tried to emulate your style a couple of times but don't quite get the results I'm after.

Ten year old boys are great but between about fourteen and twenty they do take a bit of a dip! Believe me I've had three, they're now aged 24, 30 and 33 and we all get on fabulously but there were days with all of them in their teens when they drive me to despair! Happy days!
@bluefirebucket you don't look old enough to have a 33 year old.....I put it down to that fine Northern air :-) Yes, as much as he's a good kind little guy, I am not looking forward to his teen years......thank goodness for hair dye, as my hair will be white due to worrying....that's if it hasn't all fallen out beforehand ;-)
