Whoopsie Daisy by Swazzette

Whoopsie Daisy

First day on the road and the scenery in the countryside is already surpassing my expectations. :-)

Bonus! Motel tonight DOES have internet!!
I guess no one lives there anymore! Interesting :o)

Your comment on your photo is "So You"! Bless you and your awesome sense of humor!!!

I've tried to keep the number of people I follow to a managable size, but I can always come across you, Barb, Barb & Denise and access your sites that way...the day's not complete if I don't cross paths with the four of you! (And you four also are so sweet to typically leave me notes, and I always try first to respond to each person who comes by. Whew! Today was quite a busy day!!!)

I didn't know you were on a road trip, and I can only imagine the frustration (?) at having no internet access. Then again, maybe you get involved with "real life" and the rest becomes secondary! Have a wonderful time, and I can't wait to meet all of you (my dear, old friends!) on Monday May 10! I think the group you've tapped are the ones I "know" from the Chicago region.

Thank you so much for the "Big High Five" for my new-found status! I've been sitting on this for months...a funny story that maybe I can share later...but was given the release to share just this past Wed. We're visiting Chi in May, Sept, & Oct this year, and Ash & John are coming for a visit in June in NS, so we'll get plenty of family time.

Heather's looking forward to meeting everyone, too, and we'll meet at the time and place specified when you let us know!

I just realized I really went public with this whole note when I could have written you an email! Old habits are hard to break! (So "Hi" lurkers!)

Have a great time on your trip! Hope you get this before you leave again!

Love your title for this shot

Don't you just hate when that happens?

Wow! that is some green grass! great title.

That's going to give the painters and decorators a bit of a headache. But the grass looks great and the dandelions are welcoming!

What a fantastic shot!
The colour is magnificent, too!

Oh Sue... I just have to mention to you, because you saw it.....
Remember that "muted tropical rainbow" shot?
Of course I knew what it was, but was commenting on the fact that she'd played with the hue, and made it look tropical, which seemed entirely appropriate, since she was in Miami.
But, I have to admit to feeling a little bit confuddled for being laughed at, and not in a good way, when people thought I had made an ignorant dumba** comment, and they totally didn't "get" my joke.
Oh, irony!
OH Dear...Sue...sorry for the rant. I just figured you'd remember and understand! ;-)

I love this photo. It makes me wonder what the story is, what it was, how did this happen, what dreams were there.Such vibrant colors as well.

Great shot, Sue! I know you were worried that you might not have enough time to take photos and upload them to 365 while on your trip, so I'm glad that is working out at least so far.... hope you have a great time with your family this week!

Thanks all! Believe it or not - this was the only shot I took all day! Pulled over for two secs on a two-lane road that runs straight down through the middle of Indiana and shot it through the windshield. I could have snapped a million shots of old buildings, signs, etc. along the way, but had to keep moving to make it the motel by a decent hour. Frustrating to say the least. :-)

I guess on trips by car we all need to now factor in extra time for stopping to take pictures. :-) I am happy you have wifi in the motels and can avoid any serious withdrawal from this site. ....... I find that there are days when I take just one or two shots and there is no need for anymore and then there are times I will take thirty or so.

Sue...you are so sweet...thanks for understanding!
The thing is, I knew you were teasing, particularly since we've been interacting ( and I know you are not mean spirited ) but I felt the others might have been....and since no one responded to my follow-up post, I felt a little like I was left hanging there with my dress tucked into the waistband of my underwear, or something! lol

Great find! Have fun "on the road!"

Sue, I like this shot even more now that I know that not only was this the only picture you took all day but that you shot it through the windshield of your car. This is really a great capture - nicely done!

We have soooo many similar sights such as this where I live. The heavy snows this past Winter did such a number on old chicken houses. Everywhere you look, you see another one that has caved in. I've never seen so much destruction from snow. You've captured a beautiful shot. Love the intensity of the colors. Hope you enjoy your road trip.

the green is ever so refreshing!
