One of four raccoons who regularly come to our back door and enjoy the cat food they often find there. We love having them come by and they've never been destructive.
Thanks for leaving a comment today. My daughter used to have a few raccoons as pets. It was funny, she used to whistle for them at night, and they would run up to our deck. A couple of times they even sat on the edge of our hot tub, and kept playing with her hair. She raised them as babies with doll bottles, and made a swimming pool for them one year from a kids pool. We used to stock it with gold fish and they were hilarious trying to catch the fish. Too bad they get a bad rap, because they are cute little guys.
I love this photo! Mainly because my parents have had the same raccoon families cycling through their backyard for years upon years now. We always feed them catfood and cookies, and they LOVE it! It's good to know there are others out there who enjoy the company of a raccoon family!
