This is for all of you who've tapped me on the shoulder to take a look at your posted squirrel pictures, and the ones I've just inadvertently come across. This is for Lauren who's doing a little whispering of her own. This is to tell Loni I apologize for not heeding her warning, but, while I'm a risk taker, I have a cautious concern. This is for all of you who've embraced the squirrels...who'd of thunk it?!
i couldn't help but smile from the way you're smiling in this photo. i can only imagine how much fun you're having with your lovely tiny friend! oh, how lovely lovely you look!
I just joined your list of followers, so I'm still catching up. Your pictures are so wonderfully full of life...the joy in them just leaps off the page. And the squirrels are too adorable to resist!
Hi louise thanks so much for asking after me on mum's page - I am fine - was visiting my brother in thailand and now stranded in kuala lumpur on way home due to volcanic ash closing european airspace - have lots of pictures of beautiful Thailand to post when I finally get home!
Thank you for you lovely words Louise.
We we away up the coast with some friends of Rod's when we heard the news. We raised a few glasses to him too. At least he is at peace now.
:)
I really like you photo for today - he's such a friendly chap.
I have enjoyed all your "Show your Face" photos.
I missed out as I was away & only had limited access to a very slooooow computer - Oh Well, there's always next time - there's a lot of the year left yet!!
Aaaaaaaw this is so sweet! I think they're going to sublet your house while you are away and take care of the stash of peanuts! Louise... if you can find that Lemon Marmelade recipes send it on over Pleeeeease send it on over. I am at: myscrambledbrain@gmail.com
What a fab picture! I laughed at Craigy's comments about the squirrel having a concealed blade! Too funny! But joy seeps out of this photo ... delightful!
Another gorgeous photo Louise (even if you didn't take it!) §You're having a great time with your squirrels (are they getting to know you?) and we're having a great time looking at your lovely pics, thankyou.
Wonderful picture! I think this is probably your best one as well. I like the close-up, the setting....you and squirrel at the same level...! It's all nicely done. Thanks so much for sharing all of these pictures. What will you find next to take pictures of? I can't wait to see....
Have you and Lauren worked it out so that she (and Charlie) will be housesitting in your absence? What are these guys going to do without you? You know, it's just like "The Litte Prince" - you tamed them, now you are responsible for them.
Dear Louis thanks for your help and I think the fruit in my photo more looks like a kind of honeydew melon but stretched at two ends. It seems the community helps one to improve their English. Thanks any way and this shot is a very good one. It says your kindness belongs to every creature. ;-)
I am still amazed at how friendly the squirrels are in your pics and in Lauren's. I had the theory that brown squirrels were more social but your friend there seems to be a gray squirrel which is what I have in our backyard. So, from this I must assume it is me. :-)
Hahahaha! What a way to go out! This is wonderful! These little guys will probably go through withdrawals once you have departed for the summer. Ha! Perhaps they can get hooked up with this little guy since he has surely found the secret to staying well-fed. Teehee. http://365project.org/cindy/365/2010-04-16
Love this shot! From what you wrote, I get this vibe that it's as though the two of you are signing a peace treaty with that offering. :) This photo has definite personality coming through from all three of you (I'm including the tree here, since it's so unique). You have a great, great smile, Louise.
And thank you too for the kind words on my photo, and the reminder to change my tags so Mrs Smith can find all the pics on Monday (and assign detention if needed). ;)
Thank you for the comment. I tried to get a perspective that was unique. I wasn't really looking forward to doing a self-portrait, but I'm actually surprisingly happy with what I came up with.
Your photo is great. Even the squirrel looks happy here!
I'm going to try and get a squirrel picture sometime. Maybe when you're away on your squirrel free trip. We've got lots around here. Don't wan't to get that close though!
This is simply perfect Louise :) and Brad said it perfectly ( it cracked me up a little lol ). I love your squirrels, your pictures, and your thriving personality.
Like everyone else, I am wondering who the squirrels are going to convince to fee them while you are away...and that tree...how did you talk him into being in that tree today?
So funny so many of you commented on the tree! It's the only one like that in this grove (though there're others around-about)...I was worried it made the pic look cluttered, but I've gotten a kick out of the comments!
While I'll miss the squirrels here this summer, they won't go without treats. Most days we run into someone just leaving, or kids will come along & we'll pass on peanuts so they can feed them too. The squirrels literally run up to people...I think they're a few generations into the feeding routine!
How cute is this?
And, I love the tree as well...it really adds another element of interest to the photo.
I also wanted t say Louise....that I always always love your fun, happy, thoughtful, supportive comments...which is something I get such a charge out of reading every day. And I look forward to your pictures every day, as well....but I want to apologize for not always commenting, or getting behind in doing so. If I have a headache, I can usually only get through posting my pic, and doing a quick turn through a few photos at a time. And your photos are ones that I like to savour and think about how I can comment, so, it might take me a day or three to get there! ;-)
Oh Louise, how adorable. The grand finale, huh? We don't want a finale of your squirrel pictures. Throw another one in every now and then. I just love seeing the little guys eating right out of your hands. Fascinates me.
Oh, we're probably not through with the squirrels, but this is the end of "ME" for awhile...my swan song, so to speak... ...("squirrel" song?) ... ...not so much...
ahhh, I get it, you've created a generation of "welfare" squirrels!
I actually stopped by to thank you for keeping everyone organized and reminding them to tag their homework assignments so we can view them all in one place! But, of course, I got sidetracked into reading comments that have been made since I posted ...
Gotta go! I've got chores that need to get done - tomorrow is Monday!!!
Hi there....sermon okay. Not one of the best but can't always hit the dizzy heights.
Welfare squirrels is a lovely idea....!
Looking for your homework!!
Thank you for the reminder about tagging the homework, Louise! You're a doll (and NOT a drill sergeant!!). Heh... now I want to call you "Hermione" *grins*
awww....its been a real treat to watch you getting up so close with these little guys..so cute!!
in response to your comment - we are in the process of building our "first" home :) Its only about 20 minutes further out from where we live now, but we currently live fairy close to the city..so its a big shift in terms of lifestyle..the new place is in a much quieter location......and feel free to pry all you like :) I can be fairly guarded and cryptic at times with what I write with my photos, but that doesn't mean I'm not happy to share some of myself as well...Thanks for taking the time to get to know me :D
Haha, I've gotten that comment a few times too. Especially for that Easter shot, when I was hogging my Dad's egg while setting up the perfect shot. He was nice enough to give all the bits and pieces of shell back at the end though, for another round of photos...
I've found food shots to be pretty hard, but I'm slowly getting the hang of them. The key seems to be getting in really close, and avoiding the "straight down at the plate" persective....You've had some nice ones yourself, I remember being very impressed by your breakfast plate during the 1-10 challenge!
Yet another great Squirrely photo! Sorry about the "just a few years ago photo" Those silly dogs of mine...LOL Maybe before the year is up, they'll get an updated photo. : )
I know....you post late...will see it tomorrow but I'm out all day.....can I bear to wait?!!!! Suppose I'll have to. I'm much more random in posting...do it as and when there's time!
It's okay to be OCD!! My poems have a strict order in them....so maybe I have it as well.... just disorganised most of the time. Don't you love our differences! Catch you at some stage tomorrow - in Dublin for a committee so two hour train journey there and again home.
I really didn't think you'd listen to me Louise :-) You're just having way too much fun! And the squirrels are too! Look how fat that thing is!!!! I'm gonna fave this one...
I think you are definitely the resident squirrel expert. Thanks for your comments on my fattie one lol. I seem to keep missing your pics then discovered i wasn't even following you! But not for much longer.
Wow you are game! We don't have squirrels but I know that I wouldn't get that close to a possum - they can cause some damage! This little one seems ok with you though!
"Squirrel ... !!!"
We we away up the coast with some friends of Rod's when we heard the news. We raised a few glasses to him too. At least he is at peace now.

Have a super Sunday, my friend!
Your photo is great. Even the squirrel looks happy here!
I'm hoping that these aren't the last of your squirrel pictures ... they are so frickin' CUTE!

Homework's ready to go...
Can't wait to see/read your homework assignment!
