Jim (from Paris, Texas), Jerry (from Portland, Oregon) and Ken, in front of the ice cream parlor in Lunenburg. What's a husband to do while their wives scour all the nearby shops?
We joined the crowds at this morning's farmers market, waited in a long line at the Riverport Firehouse for the Canada Day Fried Fish lunch, gave up on that and had lunch at the Dockside restaurant http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-06-12, bought chocolates at the new chocolate shop that opened today, and came home for an afternoon nap. After traveling & sightseeing, we were *all* worn out! For dinner, Jerry's wife, Marlaine, made us a fabulous stir-fry with one of every vegetable bought at the farmer's market this morning...we've got a fabulous cook in our midst!
Now, long after all have turned in for the night, I'm so committed to 365 I had to post a photo for the day, but miss so much looking at pictures & responding to comments. Know I've seen and enjoyed them all, and will make it up at a later date. Big day tomorrow...we're celebrating three birthdays! I have to make a cake to go with that next round of ice cream!
What a great shot of the guys! Once again, it sounds like you had a wonderful day and are keeping yourself busy! Don't worry about not being able to comment. I'm just glad that with all you have going on, you still have time to share your wonderful adventures and photos with us!
I somehow am reassured that we will be able to keep up with each other next year. You are one busy girl but it sounds like you are having a wonderful time and the year is just starting to ramp up for you. I don't know how you do it but I am impressed! I think the afternoon naps probably help. I really need to learn to do that!
sounds like a busy day today and a busier one tomorrow! love this shot, it's the little things i like to find. the guy in the middle has barely touched his yummy ice cream while the other two are almost done! too funny! sounds like stir-fry was terrific!
I didn't even notice the red, white, and blue shirts until Gayle pointed them out! This pic fits the theme! Red/white/blue AND ice cream! That's All-American! (well, I know other countries have ice cream, but in the USA we really love our ice cream!)
Oh Louise, I just don't know how you find time to sleep with all you have going on...I thought I had it tough trying to find time to sleep! Enjoy your triple b-day tomorrow. Cake and ice cream sounds great!!
For me I love that icecream is one of those magical parts of our childhood that we never really grow out of! It's always wonderful! great character photo :-)
great picture. always good to cool down with ice cream.. you should see the ice cream in my collage from our Rhein tour. it was called spaghetti ice. the portions were huge.. i had a hard time eating dinner at ights. but it was delicious
haha! I love this! You know, Chris would have been right there with them eating his ice cream cone! He would have sneak off and find some snack like this....! Nice picture! I hope I get to see your cake!
I bet the guys have no problem filling the time while you gals are in the shops! Sounds like you just had another amazing day....do you ever just have a soso day with mediocre foods and boring friends? hahaha
Louise, I just love how your pictures capture all of the people in your life! Now, I have to say, I've committed myself to some sort of aerobic exercise every day that I'm on Maui this summer (and I still haven't shed a single pound!), but listening to all of this yummy food talk, how are you keeping the weight off?!!?
this is great, it reminds me of shot parents would take of their kids. All in a line, all with smiles and with ice cream. Kids usually don't like shopping either lol. It's great they haven't lost their "inner children"
Sounds like you had an exciting day!! What a fun shot to cap it off! ;-)) Three birthdays today?? Looking forward to your photo! ;-) I've been pretty bust lately, too! The house is coming together, and we've been shopping around for furniture (and not only ;-)) We already got a little desk and a dining room set. I am looking forward to moving in soon!! ;-)) However, I relaly miss spending time on 365! Hopefully I'll be able to catch up after the holidays... All these late nights are starting to have their effect on me - I can't stop yawning! Have a wonderful weekend and sweet dreams! ;-))
Wow, that sounds like such a fun day, Louise! I love this picture - it's cute how they're all leaning against the side of the shop... to me that emphasizes the feeling that they are waiting for their wives.
