Leaving the house this morning, this scene across the back yard next door, filled with dandelions, looks the same as it did when we arrived here last May. Do you recognize the view I've photographed twice before as summer was getting underway? http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-05-22 and http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-06-06 It's all as though time has stood still.
Today, though we cleaned house and ran shopping errands, I had some time this afternoon to answer comments and look at pictures. By dinnertime our friends had arrived, and that's going to be the end of my computer time for a few days. Our house guests were college friends of ours (Mary was my roommate), so they know, and expect, I'll take plenty of pictures. I've managed to post a photo daily so far this year, so we'll see how well I can keep this up over the next few days. I hate not being able to reciprocate every comment, but I know you'll understand.
For the first time in days, the weather is cooling & I can hear the foghorn in the distance. At 11:30 PM, the storm is not yet here, though we're expecting it before daybreak. I'll be back in 24 hours to let you know how it all turned out!
Great shot. I hope Earl doesn't do too much damage. I was reading the weather network today, and they had a warning for Lunenberg. It made me think of you guys :). Stay safe! I hope Dill stays inside, too.
hopefully you don't get too bad of a storm... i love this shot though... makes me feel like i'm laying on my stomach, reading a book... those houses are just darling too.... how much longer do you have at your retreat before you return to the US?
Wonderful picture! I really like this quaint and adorable scene! Have fun with your friends....and remember to treasure your moments. I can't wait to see your pictures.
Love all the yellow. Makes your picture so cheery. I'm concerned about my package arriving in time to continue traveling with you. There is still time but it's getting tense.
I yes, I saw this morning on CNN that it was now reaching the coast of Nova Scotia. I hope all goes well!
I love the simplicity of this photo. The yellow flowers makes it seem just so warm and inviting!

Today is much cooler here as well. The storm missed us in NH, only a few sprinkles, the garden is actually kind of sad. Love the yellow of the dandelions with the yellow of the house
Very pretty picture! Looks like a house straight out of a Disney movie! How nice to have a reunion with your old roommate! Hope you can share great memories together.

I thought I remembered driving past this house before...lol. Like I said a few days ago...it really does feel like I've been to Lunenburg. Wonderful photo Louise!
I just LOVE the colors of these houses! It looks perfect for the area. I also love your perspective and how you got the dandelions in the foreground. I saw your shot after the hurricane but obviously I missed this one.
I'm expecting Mary Poppins or one of the children of the Sound of Music to come prancing in with a cupcake in hand when I look at this picture! So beautiful!
