"...All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go..."
I've been here before http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-05-08 One last night...a candlelight dinner one more time... We left the kitchen to go the the table and looked into the bedroom across the hall to see the image I'm sharing tonight. It was an "Awwww" moment as we all stood in the doorway, struck by the finality of the summer. It's been perfect, though. There's little more to say.
Thank you, more than you know, for the comments, for sharing, and for being constant companions. Tomorrow night will find us in Chicago and ready to begin a new chapter. Thanks for being so willing to come along for the ride... xox...and I mean that sincerely!
Awwww...what a sweet shot of Dill. Thank you for sharing your Lunenburg adventures with all of us. I hope you and Ken have a safe trip to Chicago and can't wait to see photos of your newest family addition. I already know that the next chapter will be beautiful!
well, I would get a cat box and bring him with me.......If that was Syko or Nero in that room, they would have stowed away in the case as they love get into suitcases. Thanks for a great story and pics on your summer in Canada....... great parting shot of the furry friend
Is that a book I recognize in the suitcase? I have been following all of your adventures this summer and can just imagine when you arrive back home, have unpacked and finally have a moment to rest and reflect... So many memories and so very quickly! I know you have so many wonderful things to look forward to yet and I cannot wait to share them here with you. Hugs to you my friend and safe travels. =D
The perfect parting shot!!! Thank you for sharing Dill one last time. Re cotton: I saw the cottonfields in Arizona when I was a child , and didn't realize that it grew in other places til later when I visited Alabama I had been thinking about the song I chose and was just waiting to find a photo to go with it.
Love the song...reminds me of the movie Armageddon. It pops into my head each time we head to the airport :) Lovely photo of Dill to take with you. Travel safe...looking forward to your pics again on the other side.
ooohhh....look at lil Dill sitting there trying to be all incognito...it just occured to me how amazing it is that you have opened you home (and hearts) to someone else's pet. he is such an amazing creature for being able to endear himself to you that way. also...you might want to double check that he doesn't actually stow away in your bags!!
This is such a moving picture I LOVE it - it's been great fun following your adventures in Canada this summer - looking forward to the next episode in your your travels....
A perfect parting image. I've so enjoyed following your Canadian summer stories and travels. Thanks for taking the time to share and comment on my postings it is truly loved and appreciated! Praying you and Ken will have a safe trip to Chicago.
Oh we enjoyed the ride and, if 365 has got into our bones, we may well meet Dill next year too!!!! That's an appropriate ending image for a great summer away.
What a beautiful, beautiful picture!!! Tears in my eyes, also from that song..Now I know why I never go on vacation anymore, I couldn't leave my soft and furry companions!
Have a very safe and comfortable journey back home, I hope your reunion with your catfriends back home will be very sweet!
I'm sure Dill will dream about you all winter and remember what a friendly summer he's shared with you!
A very lovely picture of Dill. I enjoyed it so much to be "connected" to Lunenburg the people there and of course to see pictures of Dill and Mica.
Have a safe journey.
Louise and Ken, again, I have enjoyed the visits. It is almost as though we were there as your neighbors enjoying the scenery and all your friends. Safe travels and looking forward to seeing more photos real soon.
I haven't been with you all summer but have become addicted to your saga in a short time. What a sweet lovely moment you have captured here. See you in Chicago!
Oh! Louise I have just come onto the computer again & read your lovely message on my site. It brought tears to my eyes.

Oh Louise, this is SUCH a bittersweet shot. I can imagine how you must have felt when you looked through the doorway and saw this. I almost think I would frame this and hang it on my wall if it were mine. Safe travels to you ......
2 Dill pictures on the popular page at the same time Louise. I'me sorry i haven't comment them, but every time I'm thinking that he won't come with you I start to cry...
I wonder if you feel the way I would after an ordinary short holiday , longing to go back, or if your life has its sweet pleasures equally in both places? Travel safe
Thank you Louise and Ken for making us all welcome to your home, Lunenburg and all your friends. we also enjoyed that beautiful cat Dill and will miss him terribly. So let me me say:" Have a safe trip home"
until we all meet again.
This is definitely an "awww" moment! I'm sure he'll be counting down the days until next summer....if he could count that is =) Hope you have happy and safe travels!
Here I am....teary eyes again. You know how pets "just know" you're leaving when the suitcases come out. Dill knows. Fortunately he's been through this parting before, and knows it won't be long until it's Spring and you are returning......But this time you'll be returning as GRANDPARENTS.... who hoo! You're going to love that chapter in your lives!!
This is so adorable and a little sad at the same time! I love the photo, I love the sentiment, and I love how cute Dill is cuddled up on the bed... made it a fovorite! I can see from the thumbnails above that Chicago is more than exciting! Lunenburg will await you, but now it's time for new adventures! ;-)
