We had a long day out and dinner at the neighbors, so I wasn't able to finish reciprocating all the nice comments that came in. It really frustrates me when I run out of time like that! Tomorrow we're looking forward to a get together with some photographers from across the LA area; it'll be nice to get some fresh new photo ops!
I can understand your "culture shock" after transitioning from your summer home to your home back in California. Your shot really shows just how different your habitats are. Hope that you are adapting ok, I know it takes my body a long time to adjust whenever I travel between different climates. Looking forward to your shot from tomorrow after your photo expedition - have fun : )
California indeed, what a great representation of the Sunshine state! Love that line of palms. Enjoy your day in LA, looking forward to the pictures. California is the only place I've visited in the USA & I loved it!
This part of the scenery defintiely looks like California, it looks great, but you're right, it's a bit different from the Nova Scotia photos we've grown so fond of. I'm sure you'll pull together some beautiful photos in the next several days.
I hope you have fun and get some good ideas from the photographers. Beautiful picture....You know, I don't have trees like this around my house...so you are still in an area that is very different than what I have. Interesting!
Yep, you're not in Kansas....oops Nova Scotia anymore. But isn't 365 great, we can click our heels together and be in California or the UK or Australia or.... whenever we wish! Love the shot and the thought that we can be anywhere anytime! I'm in Missouri this morning...this afternoon, who knows.
thanks for your sweet comment ... im loving it... =)
i love this photo of yours, its like theme repetition at the same time , theme lines... =) im also loving the greens.... =)

Hi Louise
It's Eva I like the shot is that what all of California looks like in terms of tree's? It's cute how the palm trees are lined up in row! I like how blue the sky is so blue! I posted my first picture today! Please take a look at it. Hope to here from you soon. Do you have my parents Email?

We are in the San Fernando Valley visiting my son and family and all I can say is that is HOT!!! We have been here in July and August in some years but it never seemed this hot. And to think that Wednesday we head to AZ to see some friends. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.
I saw Eva's picture on the photos of the day and thought she might be your special friend and just thought I'd take a shot at my comment to her...she's a little sweetheart - sent me such a nice note! Thanks for your note too! Now I'm off to post my blog on blogspot and then it's off to bed. Have a good rest!
Awesome!! I've never seen a palm tree in person before. They look huge! They certainly are majestic the way they are so high above everthing else. Beautiful shot, Louise. I'm happy to finally see shots from your other home.
what a lovely repetition of the palm trees. Haha certainly is legit proof that you're no longer in Canada. It must be a bit nice to come back home and have the warm weather again! :D
And thank you for the comment on my profile picture :)
I recognise this from a similar photo we took when we were oven there in 2006. :D Great memories!
thank you for your comment. :)
