1. Thanks for all the good wishes as the trip got underway...it was a perfect flight and great weather. What fun to see snow on mountain tops as we flew over Colorado and all the fall color as we were landing in Chicago! So good to see Heather & Tina this evening & we'll see Ash and John tomorrow.
2. Thanks for the sweet notes you left me today...I read through them after Ken set up this little traveling computer for me tonight.
3. I'm having trouble reading this tiny little screen, and I have no idea if my photo looks okay! Feeling a little disgruntled that I can't see better this evening... Guess it will take getting used to... You know I don't usually grouse,.. Maybe I just need sleep...
I'm reading this in bed on my iPod touch which is even smaller but so portable. Love the jaunty red flags and the perspective. Glad you won't be out of touch.
Never fear Louise, your picture looks wonderful! So glad that you guys made it in ok. Happy travels and can not wait to see your first picture of your first grandchild!
Touchdown in Chicago. Yeah. Chicago airport makes me laugh, it is like a little city. I noticed in your picture they even have flu shots available for travelers. You captured the movement of the tunnel. Have fun with your family.
At first I only saw the top half of the picture, I thought it was some really nice building! When I scrolled down I discovered the airport-great ceiling for an airport! I really like all the flags.
Glad to read (on my minilaptop ;-)) your flight went well!
So glad to see your picture, I didn't expect you to be able to, with travelling, you are very good to make the time.... you must be tired. This picture is very colourful and busy.hope you have a lovely get together with your family
A great photo Louise and so glad to hear you've arrived safely. Flying like that is tiring and it can throw your body in all directions. Have a good rest.
Nothing wrong with your photo. It must be your "secret aversion" against the tiny little substitute computer... You better get used to it. That's all you get.
Love the shot of the big city within the windy city. That's what that airport feels like. You could just live there...well maybe not! Have a wonderful time being inducted into the "Grandmother Hall of Fame" - it's one of the few titles that doesn't require a lot of anything but love!
Yay! Chicago! Enjoy your family, Louise! (I know what you mean about the small screen. When my computer was in the computer hospital I had to use my netbook to go online. I dug out my old desktop just so I could edit my photos!) PS - the photo looks great!
OH, I adore this photo! Great colour and perspective!
Well, I have been thinking of you, too....though haven't had a moment to spit. I do appreciate your notes, though....and am excited for YOUR time, next! XOXO
The wedding was fantastic! Everything went according to plan, just perfectly, exactly as Kelsey and Ian wanted it. It was so much fun, too. Brad and I were either grinning, or misty eyed fools, all day!
There was a bit of family drama, which thankfully Kelsey and Ian never knew about, and which I've been trying to sort out for a week. It was Thanksgiving the day after the wedding, so we celebrated with my family, and Brad and I went home and kind of collapsed. We'd been out every day for a week, celebrating with Ian's family and the kids, which was so fun...but I'm not used to being such a social butterfly!
It took us 2 days to return the suits, clean out the restaurant ( our decorations ), take the dress in to be cleaned and stored, settle accounts and make follow-up calls, and then I had a couple of bad head days. I'm pooped! But, happily so.
Just finally uploaded a few pictures of the wedding and week.
Now we have 3 weeks to get ready to go to England for the UK reception. I have to have all of my Christmas shopping done before we go...or at least the things to take for Kelsey and Ian, as they won't be home for Christmas this year. I'm making them their Christmas stockings and an advent calendar, as well. *whew*
Have a wonderful wonderful trip, and an amazing time with your girls and the new little one, and don't worry about us here.
You know where we'll be! ;-)
Enjoy your stay in Chicago Louise... I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful time. And you have a new place to capture. Will be waiting for your pics. Take care always. God bless : )
Love the colors of these flags, Louise! Re: bigger ... did you know that you can hold the Ctrl button, push +, and the picture (and words) on your screen will get bigger? Maybe that will help you enjoy your new traveling companion ... LOL!
And great picture, like this red flags :)
Glad to read (on my minilaptop ;-)) your flight went well!
Enjoy the time with your family and the soon-to-be new addition :o)
