Before coming to Nova Scotia, the only "Folk Art" I was familiar with was on aboriginal totem poles I'd seen in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C. It's hugely popular in this region, selling in a frenzy at the local Folk Art Festival each year. I was given this 3 ft./very heavy owl and Ken got me a bright red fox with black boots. They may not be to everyone's artistic taste, but I find them whimsical.
I have to keep an eye on my owl...I have friends who covet it and they've told me so!
Hello, Louise! Stopping in to visit all of my 365 friends, I was delighted to see that you've been around! I adore folk art, although it *can e* (and often is) overdone. Love your cropping of this wise old guy!
