This is going to be a good and memorable day! I made a waffle breakfast for the family, and Ashley made cards for John and her Dad, Ken. When it was over, we headed down to the dock and The Fisheries Museum; today was free for all dads. I never thought we'd get past the aquarium room with Ashton! What fun to have a little boy who gets so engaged with his surroundings! We spent a couple hours there and I got the photo I wanted with "The Dads" and a view to the golf course in the background. We had to bring Ashton home for a nap, but we'll go back to the museum this afternoon before going to the Firemen's Lobster Supper at the firehouse. (Isn't that wonderfully quaint?!) We were told Ashton can climb aboard the fire truck, so the excitement will unfold throughout the day! I intend for him to have a childhood memory of his visit to Grandma and Grandpa's in Lunenburg!
Beautiful family photo. What a perfect vacation day and a perfect Father's Day! One of these days I'll make it to Lunenburg! Happy Father's Day to Ken and to John!
Sounds like a wonderful time all around. You got a wonderful picture of your loved ones. Too bad you weren't in it too. I'd like to see Ashton facing his first lobster!

@lachapaudie Congratulations again, Grandma! Is today the day you celebrate Father's Day over there? What a treat on any day! I'm truly delighted for you! What a perfect family...a girl and a boy! Savour your visit and send pictures!
What a wonderful family you have Louise! I sounds like you spent a great day together, maybe you can make a photobook for Ashton with photos of him from his visit to Lunenburg. That way when he is older he'll have all the memories right there :)
