Every summer I fall into a dream state and pray no one pinches me as I'm in love with this life around me. One day segues into another with a gift-wrapped package of events to choose from. Only hearing by word-of-mouth that the Bluenose II was going to be RE-re-launched at morning's high tide on Friday, we took our coffee and camera to the dock to witness this beautiful sailing ship return to the water. (Last year, it was "re-launched" originally on the morning we were to leave town and return to California, but we stayed to see it afloat.) I made a heart-felt video that moved me in the pictures and music. Would you feel the same? I'd love to share the morning and the surprise ending! Let me know what you think, and thanks for your comments and friendship.
@aarushb That's one of the docks in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The people are turned out to watch Blunose II being re-launched at high tide (in the video link I enclosed)
Well I must say Louise, you are becoming quite the videographer. It was well done, and it was surely an even t you didn't want to miss. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. You had a wonderful day for its launching.
I really enjoy how you brought us with you on your adventure, from the ride through town, to all the onlookers, to the main event and then the surprise ending. It was perfect! I felt like I was standing there with you, enjoying a beautiful fall morning, coffee cup in hand, snapping photos and celebrating with everyone. Thanks so much for sharing!!! I SO can't wait to visit!! :)
@moonshinegoober I love your enthusiasm, Bonnie! I know we'd have a wonderful time! Thanks for looking & commenting. I just put another video of the day here...another "event" in this town...it's a never-ending wonder! (The wind caused some sound glitches, but overall, I'm ok with it...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zUH1BGdw0k&feature=youtu.be
@Weezilou Another wonderful story, and I don't think the wind posed much of a distraction at all. Since you've been sharing your videos - I just started taking iPhone videos about a month. So if you'd like a little peek into my world... :) The first video was just random bits of a lazy afternoon at my house and the second was of an annual trip to a little country town by the river in Mason, TX - a group of about 20 friends all get together and just relax each year and enjoy good food and good company. Hope you enjoy! http://vimeo.com/71384212http://vimeo.com/71713306
@moonshinegoober Wonderful videos...and the images are a reflection of your style. Nice site...I signed up, too! Thanks for sharing... Certainly, for me, the videos will be a nice way to save summer memories, like expanded photos!
very nice! (can you teach me to make a video/slideshow???).....I will say that I was disappointed, after seeing Allison's comment, that she was referring to a photograph. You know now we will all expect to see the videographer do the hula at the end of your next video. :)
@jgoldrup If you have a moment, take a look at the thread I started about the Lunenburg fire. My photos and I ended up on the news again... (This never happens back in California!)
