With 800 photos through the day, I can't pour over them all to find "the best"...because...every moment was a charmer...
...wheelbarrows full of corn, pumpkins, squash & zucchini ++ set in front of red barns...
...picking 3 more boxes of blueberries with our friend, Mike (who's been in several of my pictures)...
...stopping to photograph horses in a bucolic setting, but they came running to greet us, one nuzzling my face and neck in the most adoring way!...
...having a "scallop & lobster-over-linguini" lunch, river-side in Port Williams (and yes, wine, too)...
...stopping at a winery where, in the middle of the vineyard, sat a red British phone booth...all calls to North America gratis...
...breathtaking views to the Bay of Fundy as I talked to a friend back in California...
...more stops at little farm-run roadside stands where payment was on the honor system to little lock boxes...
...getting some fresh seasonal plants at a lovely nursery...
...and a last stop at another road-side farmer's market where a girl working inside told me all about her house-broken pet raccoon that she adored...even said it "purrs" (which I just loved hearing!)
In a bow-wrapped package it was another spectacular day! Thanks for the memories, Nova Scotia!
You could be the president of the Chamber of Commerce. You make NS sound like Heaven! I especially like this picture which of course brings to mind Robert McCloskey's classic picture book. I read it every summer to my campers.
@allie912 How appropriate that you should be the first to comment and leave that information... Thanks for that, Allie... One look at that picture, and there was the illustrated book cover in my mind!
