And Now for Something a Little Different... (...be brave...this only takes a minute!)

This may be a real bust, but I had to give it a try... Sometimes when trying to get a photo of a moving animal, I use the sport feature on the camera & get 6 shots in a burst. In looking through them, sometimes I like the bit of movement, so I wondered if I could make a short video clip out of them... ...why "yes"...I could...

For most of the afternoon we had 5 ducks in the pool (which is getting its weekly cleaning tomorrow) and if you're quick, you'll notice that the mother hummingbird is back on her nest!

******************in response to Pyrrhula's question below in the comment box**********

Asked about the background music, I found this of interest (though I took the first/shortest clip I could find)...
J. S. Zamecnik - was a remarkably prolific American composer of the early 20th century, and was a major composer of "photoplay music," the vast, forgotten genre of music used by silent film theater orchestras. Zamecnik was born and raised in Cleveland, studied with Antonín Dvorák in Prague, and returned to America as a professional musician and composer. He composed music in many genres including songs, dances, salon music, and pieces to be used in compiled silent film scores, composed a few significant complete film scores, and retired not long after the arrival of sound movies. Zamecnik was one of the few film-music composers who was working during the entire period from vaudeville through silent film to the coming of sound. Zamecnik's career encompassed the 15-year existence of photoplay music as a distinct genre (roughly 1913 to 1928), and his developing sophistication as an artist coincided with the development of film music, and of film itself.

Now that is very creative!

I`ve enjoy it very much. Cute , well done. Who`s playing the piano?

This is so cool! Loved all the elements, the squirrels, ducks, hummingbirds and the cat. Near the end I also really liked the reflection of the white patio furniture in the water and the beautiful flowers in the forefront. So creative Louise makes me want to try doing something like that on my camera. It's a fav for me too.

@pyrrhula I went back and looked this up to share with you. I found it interesting enough I put it in the commentary. It's interesting to know that music played for the silent films was a genre unto itself! ...learn something new everyday!...

@dailypix Thanks, Susan...Yes, "Elements R Us"! (Hoping "prolific" can override "repetitive"!) Always looking for a new perspective on "an oft told tale", I'm always happy with flowers & reflections to dress up the pool water, so thanks! If you use a movie maker, just drop in the clips...I set them all at 0.3 sec...doubled up a few and voila...super simple and fun along the way!

@parisouailleurs @lyndemc @taffy @digitalrn Thank you SO much! I had serious doubts about doing this, but I'm delighted people are enjoying the fun I had with it. (Frosty was eating sunflower seeds at our back door as we left today to visit the grandkids :)

Very creative! Enjoyed it!
April 18th, 2014
@Weezilou thanks Louise I look forward to trying this. Happy Easter to you!
April 18th, 2014
@dailypix I'm "playing" as we speak...6-set photos from the train up here..2.5 hour ride condensed to about 4 minutes... Ashton, our 3-y-o wanted to play the Frosty video over & over...and I usually have trouble keeping his attention! (So there's the audience, I suppose!) You, too, have a Happy Easter! Thanks for dropping by tonight :)
April 18th, 2014
@Weezilou looking forward to seeing your new creation! Sounds like a lovely trip. I'm not surprised your grandson Ashton wants to watch it repeatedly, there's so much to see, and it's full of cute animals. 😀

@sytse How good to see you again! Yes, little has changed...except that the park animals have gathered in my own back yard! You've got (a) dog(s) now? And do you love your new home? Come back more often and bring us some new photos!! You were missed! ♥

April 20th, 2014
@allie912 My yard has been a blessing as I adore the wildlife! (Ken's a blessing, too, because he pretty much supports the whole concept!) You might well-imagine my delight just observing it all...it's got both moments of frivolity & tranquility...
