Big Brother introduces Little Sister, Hazel Eloise
Being away this summer, it was a delight to receive an updated photo of Bodhi and his new baby sister, 1 wk old today. The report from home is that she's eating and sleeping well, a solid *A+* in baby terms! Her first name was a favorite contender, and "Eloise" is a pairing of Ashley's middle name, Elise, and my name...and that couldn't make us happier!
ok...it must be said...we're likely to make a visit late this summer before our stay here is over... Can you blame us?
Oh my stars, what a darling photo! Just look at the pride on that big brother's face, and is that a happy grin on Hazel's tiny mouth? I hope they're best of buddies all their lives. How wonderful; a boy and a girl in this family.
@lyndemc Thanks Denise for the so-sweet enthusiasm! My fervent prayer when I had two daughters was that they would be best friends...and it was fulfilled ten-fold! So your expressed hope for them touches my heart, as I hope the same. Bodhi is the dearest little boy, and, though there'll be scuffles, I foresee him caring for her in life. I hope she'll always smile, knowing the truth in that!
@hbdaly Thanks again, Holly. Not a photo from MY camera, of course, but I tweaked it a lot..haha!
@dgrynn Ken and I are hoping to make a visit happen...we're waiting for some information from a forthcoming Lunenburg visitor... Thanks for your sweet note.
What a precious photo of the two, and I know you are having a hard time not being able to cuddle that little sweetheart. I can't say I blame you for planning a trip in to see them. The photo makes me more eager than ever to hold our little one to be.
@digitalrn Ken was laying out the plans to take a break from here in late August...we'll be holding new grand babies at about the same time! Do you only have the one grand daughter, approaching her teens? This is going to be a great "Do Again" moment for you!
@hbdaly Thanks again, Holly. Not a photo from MY camera, of course, but I tweaked it a lot..haha!

I'm fascinated by the way names come round - and round again!
