I was in the middle of recording the music of John Barr, a friend and marvelous singer, when someone pointed out the moon! Cut Music! (I need to start carrying more than one camera!) The sky was a beautiful shade of Pink and the moon was Peach... The water on the beach below was lapping at the shore...music drifted from inside the restaurant... On a weekend that was chock-a-block packed with activities (from baking meringues at 7:30 AM, brunch and music at noon, Folk Harbour Festival in the bandstand all afternoon while we were home, met up with visitors to town and went with a group of 12 for more music and dinner at the Ovens until 11:30...) I've got more photos than I can count and no time to post them! I haven't even looked through all the pictures...just snagged this because it was a beautiful evening that I wanted to share. I hope to catch up soon...
However, as I write, the back wall is knocked out to add some windows, the out-of-towners will be stopping by and we're going to a concert up at St John's called, "Til the Boys Come Home", a Brass Band and Music Chorale singing songs of WWI.
And yes, the rest of the week is going to be busy, too! (Did I say this was an amazing place?!)
@aglennc We'd be back half the time to see our girls and grand babies, so the set up works fine for us as it is! (I think I need to go to California to get some *rest*!
Sounds like your life is full and wonderful! ... as it should be. Lucky us, getting to see glimpses of your joys in pictures here on 365. The sky and moon sure made for a pretty picture on this evening.
Wow, your weekend (and coming week) sounds absolutely wonderful. And as for that view of the moon! Simply stunning! I don't think we got quite the same effect of the super moon as you did in the northern hemisphere.
