Oh Louise! I've seen some color changes too. Say it isn't so. Snow will be falling before we know it. Love the clouds in the background, makes those leaves look like they are on fire.
Welcome to Canada! Where each season knows no bounds! ;) Here in Ontario we have had fall weather almost all summer - barely any heat. It even went down to 8C a couple of nights last week! Usually I'm complaining about heat and humidity in August. Instead, leaves are falling and turning colour very early this year. It starts with a headache (the design) and then it`s only a lot of work . 120 pieces (the caps) 60 pieces ( the wood) and 3x3 pieces for the lock. Has to be exactly and all the same. But it keeps me home.
@gilbertwood oooh...let's not rush it! That said, we return to the states for two weeks at the end of the month, and with this colour already, I'm sure we'll be in for a shock at the changes when we get back!
@pyrrhula Your attention to detail is commendable! I can certainly imagine these in high-end department stores or boutiques. You really ought not blush at the compliments...anyone seeing these would be struck by the perfection of the workmanship. Take a bow, Ferry...it's well deserved!

@kass OMG...I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! I'll be passing along your comments to my friends back in California who have been complaining about the heat all summer! One friend in particular *hates* the heat, and had been blueberry picking with us twio years ago and nearly passed out! Wait until I tell her how lovely it was this year...and that the berries were as big as my thumb! (My sweater is at the ready...)
Lovely contrast of those bright red leaves against that cloudless blue sky! Hard to believe that fall is around the corner, but frankly, it is only four months till Christmas!! lol!
