Ken & I are savouring every event right to the last! Tonight was a mile-stone birthday for a very special friend of ours, and her daughter, here, hosted an amazing cocktail party for her on the back deck at the golden hour. We got to see so many friends and visit, but I was so busy making sure there were pictures of all the guests for Gill, I got very little of the truly exceptional appetizers people brought to share...my loss...I've been looking over the pictures I took of them!
As the guests left, Ken and I were invited to have another glass of wine and sit around the fire pit. I set a deadline when we had to leave so we might finish packing! The sun set, the air cooled down, the "very old cat" came rubbing up against Claire...and then this moment. My last photo of the party...and my favorite...
My last task of the night is to load the 300 photos onto Google Drive so they can pick their favorites, too...
