When all my day's choices turned upside down before I was even out of bed, I decided to make the most of a day indoors, and as it rained and grew colder, I suggested we make Mike his Psudo-Cinnabons. Several years ago he gave me a Kitchen Aid mixer that I use constantly, and the only strings attached were that I make him Cinnabons every summer.
Shortly after they were out of the oven, we realized there was a concert at the church tonight, so I left Mike a message that they'd be waiting for him inside the front door when he was off work. When we got back, they were gone. We think he's one of the hardest-working individuals we know, and one of the nicest...love doing that for him every year!
...our good Karma treat?...it's *SNOWING*!

@teiko I'm laughing so much! I didn't even see that aspect coming! Perhaps I should hang out a shingle and open the B&B...with cinnamon rolls for breakfast!
@Weezilou - there's a cinnabon shop at the train station in the next building beside our office. i sneak there sometimes even for breakfast! breakfast of champions, i tell you!
@summerfield Been there...done that (too!) When I found this recipe proclaiming to be a match, I knew what they were talking about! I can make 16 at a time...so what would that many cost at the station?
@Weezilou - awesome! the pack of 15 minis costs $16 and change plus tax; the regular pack of 6 is a bit more, with the pecans and caramel icing a lot more. so your awesome 16 would cost about close to if not more than $40. methinks you should compete with them! :-)
They look totally amazing. Any way you can send me the recipe to my Gmail email? I've been looking for a really good recipe - would be perfect for Christmas day! Because calories don't count then. ;)
@kass You've got it! You'll need Rob to pitch in with "rolling the log" shape...otherwise, they're really not that difficult. (I left off the frosting this time and we liked them better...but Mike said he missed it...so the frosting recipe will be included, too...
@summerfield wow~ I only just saw your reply above. Do you bake? I'm sending Kass the recipe and could send it to you as well... Of course then there are *all those BUNS* to deal with...
@Weezilou - if the recipe calls for yeast, it's okay, i won't be able to make it as i can't handle yeast for some reason. thank you. i can eat after it's been baked but bad for me before baking. sigh! i'm so delicate. hahaha!
