I really though it was a Californian fire. We saw the effects in 2003 when we came up through the south of the state from Nevada and saw the awful after effects of fire.
Wow! I would definitely have thought it was one of our notorious frequent wildfires. Incredible shot. Like silhouettes highlighting the wild color of the sunset.
@mzzhope I wouldn't have felt good about it either if I'd smelled smoke! It was, however, a beautiful, mild morning! Thank you for the fave! @tjchapa@anazad511@jocee@radiogirl@moviegal1@gilbertwood Thank you all for the fave! When I woke and saw the color through the window, I knew I had to get the photo! How great to have that done before 7 AM!
I'm not sure I believe this - and by that I mean the fact that you were up at sunrise! ;-) Great photo, and congrats on making Trending AND Popular pages!!
@kt8ird@cajjnj@cimes1@timandelke@kwiksilver@dmrams Wow, thanks ya'll! Ron just alerted me to the status... funny isn't it...I work like crazy to get some photos, and this just handed itself to me and my camera. I really shouldn't take too much credit for this one...it was a Gift :)
@stray_shooter Hey there! I saw your note and was amazed...hadn't paid much attention to this after posting it! You got me, regarding the hour, but be kind! I opened the shutter to see if I could ascertain the time of morning and was greeted with the fiery redness! Adrenaline will wake one up fast! Once outside, it was such a beautiful cool morning, I just sat out there for awhile! So thanks...Miracles *of all kinds* happen, eventually, every once in awhile (Even to Night Owls!)
Wow... this is a really fiery sky. Nice catch, especially with the silhouette. It may have been a "gift," but at least you were ready to receive it. :)
Amazingly gorgeous sky, and wonderful capture, and yes, miracles do happen, and night owls actually get to see the sunrise once in a blue moon! ;-)) This could give me enough motivation to get up at the crack of dawn to get my daily shot out of the way!
