@Cherrill Absolutely! But "Gladys" was the nosy neighbour who'd see the "magic" but no one believed her! As soon as I saw the photo come up, the title was right there in front of me!
@Weezilou do you know the author Tom Gallant? According to Amazon he is a songwriter, playwright, and actor. He lives in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. I've just been reading about his book The Lord God Bird. Looks like a good story.
@allie912 I'm not familiar with his face, Allison. I asked Ken, and he said that a couple well- placed questions in town would lead us as far back as to where he went to grade school! We know both authors and singer-songwriters around here, so I'm curious to check. I'm wondering if he's the writer people were talking about who lived out in Blue Rocks when we were house hunting over a dozen years back... I'll get back to you...
@lisamccloskey It was too good a capture, once I had the cat, not to pair it with the oft-seen Hazel at the window! A family keeper for sure (as that cat is longer/taller than a one-year-old baby!
Louise, I love these shots and the show, but in the picture on the right I see dangling blind cords. I never worried about them before this year when my cat managed to get herself tangled in them. She spent about a week at the vet and permanently damaged her voice, but is otherwise ok. Anyway...I'm a bit paranoid about cords and recommend tying them up if possible. :)
@texastrails Allie, I think you So Much for the warning! Back when I was raising my own girls, it would have been at the top of the list, but when they're here seldom, I forget. With both a cat AND a dog in the mix this week, consider the warning heeded and the cords tied up the moment I finish this sentence! MOST appreciated! ♥
Love, love, love this Louise. Takes me back to my girls and our cats! It's great to see that you're back in Lunenburg. I fell in love with it from your photos last time you were there.
Oh, I cannot even tell you how much I like this!! Perfect capture, and I do hope you win the theme with it!! Oh, and funny story about Bewitched....when we first got a TV in that 3rd world country that I grew up in, the first thing I remember watching was reruns of Bewitched!! I will never forget Samantha and her twitchy nose!! ;-)))
@lifepause@ceilidh@my_photofun Thank you! It's not only fun to be back in Lunenburg for awhile, but to have all the family with us for a couple of weeks! Of course I have no end of photos and little time to post them!
Such a fabulous shot! Firstly Dinah is something else. What great pictures come from her escapades. I watched reruns of bewitched when I was young too. You are so clever, I hope you win the theme contest.
