Last spring, Maki Monkey left her native Hawaiian home and seemed happy to travel with us. When we coffee-lovers heard about this special day, we asked Ken to make us some Kona-coffee (Hawaii USA) cappuccinos that we could pair with the quite-sensational Godiva-chocolate truffles (Belgian/French) our favourite Miss Vikki brought us from Toronto (Canada). Maki Monkey is an enthusiastic Canadian flag-waver as we’ve had nothing but fun since we arrived and we’re celebrating in the morning sun with my new Quebecquois coffee mug.
It doesn’t get much more International than that! It must be said that morning coffee makes me very very happy!
International Coffee Day? And we don't drink coffee. Cute sock monkey. Linda still has the one my sister in law made for her when Linda was about four.....
I totally participated in International coffee day this morning too. A mocha made by me in a Maui mug... dreaming of Hawaii. I will have to try some chocolate now though after seeing your enticing display.
That makes the two of us. can`t start without my (black) morning coffee.
Never heard of it, the International Coffee Day, But as there are so many day`s. why not . Great shot , lovely doll.
Coffee in the morning makes me human....well, at least a more pleasant human!! I have imbibed my fair share this morning in honor of Coffee Day (yeah, right, so what's so different about today, right?!).....and, I am going to have to get Miss Vikki @summerfield down here so that I can enjoy some of those Godiva chocolates.....and, her lovely company! ;-))))
@summerfield What a dreadful mistake to make! Note that I made a correction in the hope of making it even more international! Of course I'm probably totally incorrect!
@panthora She and Bill discussed coming to CA...what fun THAT would be! She's also returning next summer... Perhaps you two should have a discussion about that!
@Weezilou - well, i just googled godiva and found out that in 2007 it was sold to Turkish company. but its roots began in Belgium in 1926 until then. so that makes it more international. must go back down there today for another shot of chocolate covered macaroons and ice cream laden with gianduja and pecan pieces. gotta go! :-P
