Exceptional Birthright

If you'll look back to the group photo I took last year http://365project.org/Weezilou/album-excess/2014-10-25 you'll notice that gorgeous man on the left, who, with his fellow students & the Maestro, had come to our home for a luncheon. We'd made eye contact at last night's performance, so when he saw Ken and me come in, he came to give us a welcoming hug. Never one to miss a good opportunity, and having had a bit of a failure at capturing "the curtain call" the night before, I asked for a group photo. These students are from USA (but living in Berlin), Kosova, Italy (she's the pianist who always travels with Maestro Zedda), Italy, Italy and Italy! (Missing were participants from Spain, Canada & another from the US)

All I can think is, "Pity the poor folks who stood in line behind them when abundant doses of talent and good looks were handed out and there was little left over for the next guy who followed!"
you scored another great photo of the young talents. you are awesome!

@summerfield ♥ Thank you! Dielli made me feel I was a part of "the In Crowd" ;)

@summerfield PS...he offered to take the picture, but would you for a moment have wished to stand in this group and not have the picture of him in it???

Just stopping by to say 'hi' after a year away from 365! Rob and I have been very busy clearing our land to prep for our cottage build in 2016. I can't believe it's been over a year since I visited you in NS. Hope you have been well!

Has it been a year since that first photo?? Times flies.. Yes, they got the abundance of talent. I used to tease my mother. We have a number of talented people in our family. Artists, (one known internationally) writers, musically talented.... I asked Mom what happened to her (and therefore me!!) and her comment: "I was holding the door open!!)"

@kelly2 One would have to be blind and facing a wall wearing a strait-jacket not to be aware of a man in the room who looks like that! "Easy on the eyes" and a very nice personality as well. Yes, I have discovered that my musical gift is to be an enthusiastic audience member!

@aglennc What a delightful comment by your mother! I don't, however think you ought to belittle your writing skills as I know you're the designated family historian!

@bluespirit How nice to see you come by Kass! As Anita in the comment just below yours said, "Has it been a year already?"! It's pretty stunning that it's flown by so fast! It's probably about time to wish Rob a happy birthday again! I know how excited you must be about starting your cottage! I do wish you were still posting photos on 365 as I see some here, but have no time to wander far from this site...Rabbit Hole! A bit of an accident laid me low in May + but I'm back to "good enough" to be on the go again! Coming this way again one day! You're always welcome, you know! 365 members are becoming travelers and visitors to one another all over the place these days!

@Weezilou Thanks, Louise. Yes, you're probably right..... at least that's what everyone tells me..... I "inherited" some of the writing genes, and I've been doing it since I was about eight. It's been a first love and primary hobby ever since..... "Designated" family historian is right... John and I are trying to "retire", but no one else is willing to take it over. (Sound familiar???)

@Weezilou Yes, Rob turned '45' this year! Still remembered the delicious dinner and cake at your place that night with you and Ken. Thanks again for making it special! We might be back out your way after the cottage is built. I still need to do a tour of Cape Breton and around the area my dad was born. Plus, would love to visit Newfoundland - such wonderful landscape photo ops! I just need to quit my job, win the lottery and I'll stay summer and fall on the East Coast! That's a dream!
