There were those segments when I got little accomplished today! What fun it is to treat the birds and watch them entertain! I stood behind the door while my camera kept watch.
To my eye, I see nearly-a-springtime palette of colours, but the interspersed pumpkin and Jack o'Lantern can't keep a seasonal secret.
@pamknowler@lsanderson55@veengupta@lynnz@jamibann@thresheg@francoise Thank you ALL so much for loving this picture with me :) (Send a little love Dinah's way...she was protesting the photo shoot from behind a closed door!) Yes, Francoise, I confess to creating an arrangement for our little friends, but it's thanks to Joce @jocee for inspiring me last year with her beautiful arrangements for the critters! *lynn, this may be as close to your sort of coloration as I'll ever be able to come to, and you also came to mind as I posted this. What a dear community this is...you're close to my heart!
I spent a lot on buying bird feeds , they :`` eten mij de oren van van het hoofd `` . Dutch saying +/- `` +they eat the ears from my head ``= they eat many. But as soon as they see something moving they fly away into the bushes. They have to learn to be great full and let me take a pic. of them . Yours are more well raised. Did (s)he posed for you ?
What a beauty! We haven't seen many birds lately since removing our bird feeder. Our new local black bear (who has wandered down from Michigan) thought he'd make it his own private feeding station one night, so we removed all temptation until he decides to hibernate.
@Weezilou last year at this time my mind was only on Chicago! What a year this has been with my trip to Nova Scotia the real highlight!
The real bonus though has been my friendship with you and Ken! I will always treasure our time together! Xxx
