These six weeks of Autumn have been remarkable. Like a ticker-tape parade, someone has to come and clean up afterward...but *what a memorable show* it was! I love that we can see this neighbour's house this time of year...so cheery! When the low-setting sun strikes it, it turns crimson! The colours have been magnificent!
I'd have to sit in a darkened room to create Nova Scotia photos in black and white! Certainly Lunenburg was "Born to be Brilliant"!
Pic. could be made in our garden. Even with the bag of garden removing . We did ( our son, Ina and I,) trim the hedge this weekend so our bag is much bigger.
I like your comparison of fall being like a ticker-tape parade. That describes it perfectly! I bet there's people in S. Cal who would pay to have that bag of leaves shipped to them so they could sprinkle a little bit of 'fall' in their yard (sort of like some do with snow to create a winter feel for Christmas).
It was a spectacular fall here Louise, and you might be cleaning up too soon, as there are more leaves on that tree there. We have an old oak tree at our house, which always holds on to the very end. :)
Look at all those leaves. Such beautiful colors in the fall isn't there. All our leaves are gone now, but no snow yet. Lunenburg is full of life and color. I love experiencing it in a small way through your photos.
I received the postcard today. Thank you so much my friend.
