Mockingbird Courtship by Weezilou

Mockingbird Courtship

This handsome bird with the melodic voice has been warbling his songs for three days now. Surely his intended has noticed him... I certainly did! He's sing his repertoire and then leap into the air as if to say, "That was ME! Did you hear me?!" Again and again he played out this cycle.

I know she noticed...I saw her join him and off they flew!
They are fun to watch. Nice triptych.

I have never seen a mockingbird - just thinking I wonder if I will see new birds (for me) in Chicago? Not likely to see a racoon though! Lol! I need to go somewhere to see an eagle someday - that really would be an exciting trip! Sorry I am going off the point as usual! Lovely triptych Louise! The birds are in full voice here at the moment!

He's a mocking bird? We don't see them here! How great to know that they do this! Perhaps he thinks he's not going to make it until he's seen as well as the song!

Great pics and story.

Nicely capture sequence - but I abhor these guys. Or maybe the mockingbirds in my area just don't succeed in getting laid quite as successfully.

Great shots and definitely a wonderful story! Like Caroline, I love Chris K's comment because certainly you must have a top-notch reputation with ALL the animals in the area! :-)

OR...do you mean more beautiful photos of the country side with all the tulips? I'd love to see those! AND...do you have tulips in vases in hour home? I love having bouquets of fresh flowers around the house in the springtime ; )

@Weezilou @Weezilou Yes. on the computer regional nieuws side, you can send in a pic. We are spoiled with flowers in this country. You can buy cheep, lots of cut flowers. Tulips are not our favorite. They grow in te vase and last for not that long time. Sometimes we do. This open field flowers are no good in a vase. Our houses are to warm heated

So glad love conquered all. We have mockingbirds in Virginia and they are one of my favorites. They have such personality, always well dressed and of course nothing can compare to their beautiful voice.
